Non-members:  Add $5 per event.

Moai Experience

It's about making new friends in the areas of life you enjoy most.  In Japan, a "moai" is a group of people, often in groups of four, who have made a commitment to each other in a support friendship, often along a singular topic, i.e. walking daily, play chess at the park on Thursdays, coffee @ BCZen on Wednesdays, taking classes together, etc. In the United States, it's called the buddy system or retirement rituals,  whether it be as a volunteer visiting a homebound senior or as just a friend walking daily.  

Some of the Moai series of classes/events are held outside our regular operating schedule. These are marked as " *****extra-curriculum "

 

Monet's Studio

A fine arts club. 

 

Poets' Corner      

Classic poetry readings, local poets' presentations, and therapeutic poetry workshops to learn the craft of poetry writing.

A food and music class, focused on a specific regional culture.
